Complex Scene Rendering on Mobile Devices
Matýšek, Michal ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Kajan, Rudolf (advisor)
This thesis presents optimization techniques for efficient rendering of complex scenes on mobile devices. The introductory part of the text describes Unity game engine and the topic of mobile game development using this tool. Then follows a presentation of important optimization principles and methods for terrain rendering, large scale rendering of animated objects, rendering of animated water surfaces and of other elements in the scenes. The described methods include both general principles of optimization and specific optimization approaches based on the features of Unity game engine. The implementation of presented methods is described and used in practice in the context of mobile strategy game development.
Realistic Visualization of 3D Landscape
Wilczák, Martin ; Bartoň, Radek (referee) ; Mikolov, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis analyses and describes different methods used for realistic visualization of 3D landscape in real-time. In this case, landscape means terrain, sky, atmosferic effects, water areas and vegetation. For each part there are several methods, whose pros and cons are considered in following work. Afterwards there is description of designed program, which allows visualization of terrain and sky using suitable methods. Libraries SDL and OpenGL are used for rendering.
The use watercourses and waterbodies within an urbanised countryside area
Šímová, Jana ; Kročová,, Šárka (referee) ; Polešáková, Marie (referee) ; Urbášková, Hana (referee) ; Kopáčik, Gabriel (advisor)
Water is an integral part of our life and waterways and areas were and still are an essential part of the public space of our cities and municipalities. We can find public space in every seat and we meet with the water on many of them. The water in public spaces appears in a different form. Whether these are minor elements, such as fountains, drinking water features, or larger water flows and water area. The water in the public space has its indispensable role. It is well known that its presence has a great impact on the well-being of man. Despite the fact that water is really important in the Interior of human settlements, over the years, water has disappeared on many places from public spaces, due to the technical development and development of settlements. The development of human settlements and public spaces takes place constantly from the time they were established. In recent years, the viewpoint of their importance is significantly changing and lot of the seats are aware of their value. The public space is like a living room of the city, thus a representative place. That´s why, the reconstructions of public space are quite often in recent years with use of water elements. The phenomenon of water surfaces is a factor which affecting the sustainable development and quality of life. Public space is not only an important functional element in the big cities. It has a great importance for smaller municipalities too. And just on them the thesis is focused. Their public space is often neglected. As well as water features in the surrounding area, which are uncared-for or extinct. Water in the form of water courses or water bodies have a great potential, in which a lot of possibilities is hidden, with which you can work in the urbanized areas. The goal of this thesis is to find a new role for the watercourses and water areas to be integrated into public space and public space, thanks to this, become a representative and functional part of the village once again.
Modeling of meteorite impact
Takáč, Marian ; Kletetschka, Günther (advisor) ; Kohout, Tomáš (referee)
In Febuary 2013, in spectacular light and sound accompaintmen a meteorite hit the Russian Federation. Small fragment which landed in populated areas caused together with blust wave damage. The largest part broke the ice crust on the lake in outskirts of Chebarkul. The circular shaped hole gave rise to various conspiracy theories. About half of the year after impact the meteorite was lifted and conspiracy theories boken. The event immediately raised interest in the issue of the impacts of meteorites and phenomena associated with them. Processes when the meteor is passing trough atmosphere, impact craters, their origin and characteristics, computer models, types of meteorites and their origin. Or just a mystery of the hole in the ice crust of the lake Chebarkul. Science has got answers for such toppics. This paper is just trying to summarize them.

Creation of water habitats database on spoil banks in Mostecko region
Macková, Klára ; Solský, Milič (advisor) ; Gdulová, Kateřina (referee)
Post-mining sites may pose a suitable environment for many rare and endagered species, amphibians are not an exception. Population size of the model species named agile frog (Rana dalmatina) has been observed already for eight years on more than 900 water surfaces of four heaps in the Most region. The observation is based on counting nests in the spring season. Annually are the results of the counting recorded together with charasteristics of observed water surfaces. Especially noted are their expance, deepness, slope of the shores, pH, conductivity, share of aquatic vegetation etc, as well as fotodocumetations and GPS locations. In similar studies where greater number of sites is repeatedly visited, there could be a problem with the reliability of tracing exact places. For the orientation in space is usually used orthophoto map and GPS navigation with dot layer of individual sites. Errors can occur because of the large number of frequent locations, close situated locations, confusing terrain and their own error of GPS devices. There was thus to inaccuracies in the positioning of individual locations, which resulted in a poor record of each habitat. Appropriate procedure to refine the results of field research, was to create a database containing photos of the previous year and point attributes of the area and transfer to GPX format so that it can be displayed directly in the ground used by GPS devices. For this purpose was used ArcGIS geo-information system, Office software package from Microsoft and software Notepad ++. This work consists of three main parts: a literature review, methodology and attachments. As an attachment there is a detailed procedure how to uploads attributes and points photos to GPS device.

Human impact on creating the landscape
Lainová, Dana ; Janků, Jaroslava (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the differences in landscape structure caused by human influence in nature conservation area Czech paradise. It guide us though period from year 1955 until the present. It take into consideration both the previous and current landscape form, as for land area, landscape character, plant and animal association and abiotic factors. Bachelor work describes particular human influence on forming aspect of this natural heritage. It focuses on forestry and forest cover situation, agriculture and farmland. It does not forget hunting and its related situation of wild animals, fish farming which means purity of water. It will occupies water management and its watercourses modification. Least but not last it concentrates on infrastructure and related development and structural engineering. Attention will be aimed at sewage management, industry and natural raw materials extraction. It has to be mentioned the areas of tourism, mountain climbing and recreation, which should be kept only in marked areas and in accordance with nature conservation. Based on findings from individual areas is possible to compare what an impact did a human being on forming aspect of landscape of Czech paradise from year 1955 until the present. Even for such short time of history, it can be observed large change in landscape character or species association. For the future it will be necessary to reduce intensity of landscape recasting and more focus on conservation of indigenous of this nature heritage.
